Awarded Singapore Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand restaurant since 2016
Indulge in local classics in the comfort of home
Ka-Soh has been featured in Michelin Guide Singapore with Michelin Bib Gourmand, and is one of the few restaurants that can count various celebrities from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and even the USA as its customers.
Ka Soh still does (fish soup) the traditional way. It is certainly one of the best I have tried.
The other dish that is worth recommending is the har cheong gai. The har cheong flavour was evident and the wings where fried till super crisp on the outside.
Established since 1939, Ka-Soh is one of Singapore’s oldest independently owned and operated restaurants currently into its 3rd generation ownership.
As pioneers of fish soup in Singapore, Ka-Soh’s fish soup is a nutritious fish bone broth that is high in protein, collagen and calcium, that achieves its milky texture without the use of milk. Ka-Soh’s menu features mainly Cantonese-styled classic local tzechar dishes. Some of our signature dishes includes the Spare Pork Ribs, Prawn Paste Chicken, Deep Fried Frogs with Honey and Ginger Slices and Sanlao Horfun amongst other popular favourites.
In the early years located at Chin Chew Street, Ka-Soh (then known as Swee Kee Eating House) was at the forefront the burgeoning supper scene in when the restaurant operated till early hours in the morning. During those days, the restaurant often saw Hong Kong movie and music stars coming to dine after filming or holding their concerts late at night, as well as mama-sans, their girls and together with their customers after the nightclubs had closed.
Since 2016, Ka-Soh (Outram branch) was awarded as Michelin Guide Singapore’s Bib Gourmand restaurant.
